This is a small friendly open site with views of the Spurn lighthouse and Humber estuary where you can see the ships sail by or watch wild deer in the
meadow adjacent. It's scored an average of 10/10 from 27 UKCampsite.co.uk member reviews!
Set in a beautiful part of the country on the edge of the Spurn Point
peninsula which is a haven for walking, birding and cycling surrounded by
wildlife from land sea and sky, this is an ideal peace and quiet getaway.
Spurn Point is a mecca for birdwatchers as its one of the most important
places in the country for spotting rare species passing through on migration
flights going all over the world.
If it's a fishing holiday your after then there's no better place for both
sea fishing or using their on site well stocked DEFRA registered pond.
The land was originally a WW2 prisoner of war camp but dont let that put you
off, they don't do marching at dawn or lights out by 9pm..... The whole area has a military heritage and its very interesting with original gun placements and bunkers still intact.
There is much more to learn about the area by visiting the Blue Bell tea rooms and information centre just 300 metres down the road from the site.
