Outwell has launched a new range of energy-efficient ECOcool coolboxes. These have
been designed from scratch to meet the final stages of the stringent European Eco-design standards concerning refrigerators and freezers, and the resultant Energy Efficiency Index, that will be introduced in 2015.
Environmentally-conscious campers can immediately save energy by using the
eco-friendly, EEI-Classified coolboxes. Key energy-efficient features
include the use of the latest energy-saving technology, PU-insulation, extra
insulation in the lid – the traditional weak area – and vent size and
positions calculated for optimum performance.
And Outwell has given its new ECOcool range rather cool futuristic lines
and colours, plus all the features to match. These include a variable position, fold-flat handle,
hidden and protected cable entry, shelf/divider, and special icepack that
also serves as an additional shelf and divider.
There are two 24-litre capacity models – the ECOcool Green uses both 12V and
230V and the ECOcool Blue is 12V only. Both have cooling and heating
