The RUD 'i-Sock' is a completely new safety product that
offers exceptional grip on snowy and icy surfaces. They're extremely quick
and easy to use - just strap them onto your boots or shoes!
The RUD i-Sock
is made from RUD's unique textile and metal material - some of the
longitudinal fibres have thin wire wound around them which improves the wear
rate as well as providing better grip on snow. The i-Sock gives excellent
grip and traction on compact snow and icy surfaces.
The i-Sock uses friction grip across the full surface area of a shoe or
boot, providing the user with very good confidence as well as grip on snow
i-Sock are sold in pairs, are very lightweight and easy to fit (there is
just one Velcro strap) and they come in a compact storage pouch which should
easily fit into your bag or pocket.
You can use them, short term, on snow free tarmac and e.g. in shops and
restaurants, making them the most convenient all-round ice and snow gripper
available. You can even use them when driving but, as always, please use
commonsense so don't drive off if there is snow stuck between the i-Socks
and the pedals.
Please note they come in two sizes: Large (8 to 14) and Small (4 to 7.5)
