The IG2200 from Clarke is a powerful, portable generator that
features inverter technology to provide pure, stable power for computers
and other sensitive equipment. With a maximum output of 2.2kW and a
continuous output of 2.0kW it is suitable for trade and leisure use and
is perfect for use on site, on market stalls, for camping & caravanning
trips, boating and much more.
It has an economical air cooled 4 stroke engine and features
an Eco throttle that automatically adjusts the engine speed to match the
load that is running for greater fuel efficiency and a lower noise
level. The Eco throttle also put less unnecessary strain on the motor
which prolongs the lifespan of the motor and reduces operation costs.

The first thing we noticed when we got the generator out of the box was
the very easy to follow instructions for setting up, running and
maintaining the unit. We found it easy to fill the fuel and oil on first
use and it did take two or three pulls to start from cold, but once the
generator was warm it fired first time, every time.
Once the Clarke IG2200 2.2kW Inverter Generator was set up and running
we plugged it in to the motorhome and found that it easily coped with
what we threw at it, including running the lights, the battery charger,
charging the mobile phone and laptop and most importantly keeping the
beer cold in the fridge!
We found the Clarke IG2200 2.2kW Inverter Generator gave an excellent
output and in the Economy mode we found the unit to be reasonably quiet
too. It also offers two sockets which we found very useful.
Overall, this is a larger unit than the 1KW version, and is a bit on the heavy side, however for the cost it resembles great value for money and is not as heavy as some other generators providing the same power output.
This is a great buy offering good value for money and is around half the price of some other generators on the market.
Anthony (9 August 2013) Excellent value for money yes the unit is heavy but that is the price you play for the excellent out put and quietness of the unit excellent value for money
Richard (6 August 2013) Just spent a week at a site with no facilities. Generator was great started first or second time every time. Vey quiet in economy mode. I have used generators before and have suffered from dirty AC output that has blown the switched mode charger output stages, Expensive repair if you cannot DIY! Great product, A bit on the heavy side but not as heavy as other four strokes giving the same output power
David (10 September 2012) Used it first time this weekend for motor home no problems done exactly what i wonted it to do and more. One slight problem its a bit on the heavy side, other that a great machine.
Anonymous (15 May 2012) A great machine.Easy to follow instructions before starting, and the machine started first time, and has started first time every time since. A great addition for my caravan needs, no more flickering lights. It is a bit heavy though.
