Ok, all the new FCs have higher seatback cushions that go onto bed boards and therefore are comfier!! They also have sometimes had these on TTs. I bought a set of brackets last year so I could make my own for our Countryman as I would like my upper back to be supported when I am sat reading or whatever!
So I have the brackets (metal thing that goes over the mattress and under the mattress into.....some sort of metal thing to hold it in place)
My questions are, has anyone done something similar?! Plus I need to work out what to get the brackets to go into under the mattress, so something on the bed-board basically.
I am thinking of getting some plywood to make the actual seat-back cushion, have already got foam and some material to cover this with!
Would love to hear suggestions on best way to do it or if anyone has done anything similar? Or has this structure in their FC or TT and can give me an idea how best to 'build it'!!
Thanks!

As far as I can recall from when we had our Fiesta, the brackets on the bed board were about 6 inches long and an inch or so wide and lifted slightly in the middle (like a flattened out U) so and L shaped bracket could slide in and on the ply seat backs the brackets were a bit longer and narrower so the bracket could slide up. The L shaped bracket was on a slight angle so the seat leaned back a bit.
Does that make sense? I know what I am talking about - I'll see if I can find a pic.
