Hi,

We are recentley purchased the conway century trailer tent and had our first outing a few weeks ago. My husband and I really struggeled to get the awning up correctly, although we did get it up in the end it was correct (luckily we were only going fo the weekend) I've searched the internet for instuctions but can't find any for our model. Does anyone have any seggestions?

Thanks in advance x

I would ask the person you bought it from if they have any instructions, or at the very least some suggestions.  Good luck.

All Conway Trailer tents work on the same principle and I think the Century is quite a simple model so any generic  instructions would do - someone on ebay regularly sells a dvd with the instructions on for a couple of quid and there are members on here who have electronic copies of their manuals who will probably send them to you if you give your email address.

My advice is always to put the cabin up first (from the back, right hand side over first, straighten the legs, then the left hand side. Then drop the canvas down and raise all the frame poles. Then fold the beds over. Peg out the four corners)

Next, and this is really important, lay the awning frame poles out on the ground first and make sure you have got them all and they are all in the right place. If you look at it logically, it really is easy, promise.

Zip the awning onto the cabin and throw it on top then make up your awning frame and pull the canvas over (or you can build the frame first and then pull the canvas over and zip it on but I think that's harder), straighten everything up, stretch all your poles, close all the doors then peg out.

Don't forget to put your location into your profile, you may just have a Conway owner willing to help quite close. ( as long as you are north of Watford Gap)

Thanks for the suggestions, will have a look on ebay. I'm sure it will get easier. We are based in Bedford, hoping to get it out again next week so will let you know how we get on.

Thanks for posting the video link. Gave me an idea of why it was taking so long to pitch our royale.
