Hi folks just bought a Conway Cruiser 2004 can you still get replacement pole parts as the poles that have to be taken apart to put the canvas down are getting a bit bent!and are very difficult to pull apart

I also have the cruiser is it the model with the slide out beds if so you should not need to take any poles apart

Hi Gary,
I agree with Alun, there should be no need to separate any poles to ' drop ' the canvas.
As long as you have released any 'tensions' applied during set up ( the push and slide poppers ), the canvas / poles should ' drop ' without separating.
Before dropping, ensure that all 'tensioners' are released to their lowest setting and make sure that all ' elastics / ties ' are released from under the bedslides.
Trust me mate, you are not alone. We spent two hours scratching our heads with ours..it would not ' drop '.We had the canvas on 'see-saw '. Drop one side, drop the second side, the other side popped back up again.
We live and learn.
Hope this helps !!

Hi gary
When putting the camper down it is recommended that the two horizontal tie bars ( there the ones attached to the up right poles with the white nylon locking elbows ), these should be in the most central position ie the push buttons should be in the middle hole on both sides if not this can bend the tie bars as I done they cost about 35 quid aside so I got new ones made in work for the price of a coffee hope this helps you a bit more

Very useful reading this as on our second outing last weekend, we released the pole that was not folding down and promptly folded it through the canvas door! Duh! Bit of a guessing game for us as it was not demonstrated when we bought it!

Hi there. New member here. Im on the hunt for a conway cruiser. Just been to view one this weekend. Owner showed me to disconnect the horizontal bar. I thought this was not right and from reading the posts on here I was right. Just need clarification. Horizontal bar pushed into centre or just left where it is. I seem to remember it only had one hole and pop button but not sure ? Help plz
PS alun could you email me those instructions ? How do I forward me email to you ?
