I have our Olympe GL up for sale in the "Free Adverts" section, but thought I would show some pictures of it with the 3rd double bedroom kit, wheels on the kitchen unit and removable front box:

Tony,

Had a good Christmas, which I hope you also did.

The corner pole was not in place in that picture.

Here is a picture with the velcro clamp I made to keep the corner posts in situ:

I knew there would be a picture of it, I notice that you fasten to the side, I have found that they work better for me when fastened inside but at the front, with the clip against the canvas.

Any enquires for the unit yet, there's a buyer on this site but unfortunately the insurance company have wanted to pay the main agent direct.

Something for all to bear in mind, but surely this will cost the insurance more with us having to get a lower spec, year model as the main agent prices are inflated.

Personal choice where the corner pole is placed, but I have found it better on the side pole

Insurance companies pay direct to the retailer as they get a discount. So if they settle with a customer on say 3k and pay for replacement goods via the retailer then they may only pay out 2.7k to the retailer, but the claimant thinks they got the 3k. Insurance companies are in business to make a profit at any cost.

Anyway went off topic as the pictures are to sell our Olympe GL.

It's such a shame that the insurance won't pay directly to us, as we would definitely have been interested.

Hope you manage to get a decent price for it.

I have a few questions, kind of related, hope you don't mind.

1. Satellite dish and tripod. Which are they, easy to set up?

2. Do you know if all the Trigano models with kitchens have the battery operated tap?

Merry twixmas (apprently the official name for the week between christmas and new year)

It's a shame that you both did not have a chance to talk earlier, as you might have been able to do a deal by using another supplier,

Personnally I do not see the point of the kitchen tap and sink, we never used ours on the chantilly, just left it down and used as extra surface area.

But as Grifff says each to their own, it's not bad out there now , blue sky sunshine, dry ish ground, hmm typical English camping weather.

Griff it would be good to meet up if possible as I would like to have a look at your new Alpha.

Best regards,

Tony.

Simon,

As far as I know all the latest Trignao tap/sink have a battery operated pump that works off 2 batteries housed in the kitchen unit. I changed ours to a 12v with an adapter so it plugs in to the EHU......much better.

This is the best advise for setting up a satellite system. Once you have set it up a couple of times it`s a doddle IMHO. In fact I can set it up and be watching TV far quicker than I did with digital and an aerial.

I will dig out the suppliers details for the equipment we have and post it.

Simon,

This is a better picture of the satellite:

[/IMG]

The folding dish is Rockdale

The Freesat box is Bush HD

Single LNB is Golden Media

Satellite cable is WF100, which we have in the yellow as it can be seen lying on the grass. You are better off with 25 meters and get the "F" connectors fitted when you buy the cable.

All you need then is a compass and satellite finder meter.

This is a good site for info and this will give you all the setting you need for where ever you are.

The price has been reduced to 3500 ono as it has been suggested that it is a more realistic price.

The Olympe GL is now sold, but the central bed kit was not required so if any Olympe owner wants the bed kit, which consists of the bed frame and the genuine Trigano bedroom pod, which can bee seen in pictures 3,4 & 5 it is going for 150....Trigano are asking roughly 450 for the kit to turn the central cabin into a 3rd double bed.

Hi Griff, good news on the sale. I willhave a good think and chat with the oh about the middle bed, any idea on the postage cosit's just ?,or what area are you in -could be cheaper to camp fairly neat and collect.

The reason that I am interested now is the daughter had taken a fancy to sleeping in the middle. The daughter would go for it, its a matter of convincing the wife

Best regards,

Tony.

Hi Tony,

We live in Stockport, Cheshire. I think it would be easier to collect rather post.

Hi Griff,

Just emailed the 2 main pics showing the 3rd bed conversion to the wife, see what she says when she gets in, working and I'm on nights.

Yes it would probably be best to collect as we live east of Leeds.

Will let you know

Best regards,

Tony.
