Hi, can I ask where you got the mould and mildew remover from. We took oir trailer tent away for the first time, had an amazing time away, glourious sunshine and then on the last day it hammered it down and has rained everyday since. We are really struggling to dry it and mould has started to appear. So I am looking for the best way to get rid of it. Thanks :)

I got it from ebay. Bought the 12oz pot, quite expensive and the jury is still out as to whether it's worked.I left it on for about 3 hours and kept re-applying it to keep it wet. I only have a small area of mouldy spots and thought to try Iosso first as it may not need re-proofing after. I've also got some Sundbury mould cleaner on the way from the states to try if the Iosso doesn't pass the test.

The Sudbury works very well ... I've used it to great effect.

Thanks, out of interest how long did you leave the Sudbury spray on the canvas before washing it off? Did one application do the job? The Iosso doesn't seem to have had much effect to be honest.

I followed the instructions on the bottle .... but think (a few years ago!) it was only a matter of half an hour max?

I did a panel at a time ... also the woodwork under the beds, which got badly attacked ... though the Sudbury did not remove all the stains from the wood ... but, certainly killed off the spores! I then yacht varnished all the woodwork on the bed units (both sides and all edges .... when it was really dry ... worked a treat .... and looked a lot better!).

The Sudbury mould and mildew cleaner arrived. Bought on the bay, very expensive costing about 53 including duty
My new to me 2007 pathfinder awning was stored in an old canvas bag which was left on the concrete floor of a garage. When I unpacked it the awning looked almost new and in excellent condition until I got to the bottom of the bag. One end panel was stored in the bottom of the bag and the damp from the old concrete had caused a nasty mould infection. It had a lot of dark spots and some horrible yellow and brown stains covering most of the side panels either side of the window. It looked disgusting. The canvas still felt strong (tried a tear test) so this morning I treated it with the Sudbury spray. I left the solution on for about 30 minutes and over that period of time you could see the stains and spots disappearing.I then hosed it off and hung it on the washing line to dry. The cleaner hasn't affected the colour of any canvas. I will wait to see if the waterproofing on this panel has been compromised before I decide whether to treat it. So far it's a 99.9% improvement.
John
