I'm currently browsing various sites for a 6 berth F/C, in the meantime a little query. I have rented a 20 foot storage container for a while now for keeping various bits and pieces in and I'm considering keeping the camper in there but with the camper in a semi opened state if that makes sense, would this be a bad idea? Based on my previous items I've kept in there I've never had any issues but just wondering what others thought.

Well at least the folding camper will be kept under cover which will be protected against rain or snow and although it will be securely locked away out of sight I would still be inclined to fit a hitch lock and wheel lock merely as extra security. I can't see it being a bad idea at all providing that you have a good sized pad lock with a hardened shackle to lock the storage container doors.

Condensation could prove to be a problem if stored in a non-insulated steel container.

More than likely impossible to fit a wheel lock as the clearance either side will be mi minimal.

Depending how well sealed/airtight the container is .... a dehumidifier might help.
