The old Carolina is still lying in a heap on the garage floor sweating away! However, I will be taking the cook tent this time as Krazy has kindly consented to become chief winter warmer with the rum punch So the oven will be there as well to provide us with such camping delicacies as hot bridies, steak & gravy pies and of course pizza!

The deer should still be roaming the campsite and should be less wary of humans by then so lots of good opportunities for photos!

The dates I will be in residence are Mon 13th Jan (prob go up Sunday) until Sunday 19th Jan (need to travel home that day).

The venue is the Red Squirrel campsite in Glencoe. If any "new faces" fancy their chances at the jolly banter you will be made most welcome (providing the liquid refreshment is up to our high standard )

Noname and myself will be there from Friday 17th until Sunday 19th. It's true, I shall be making some lovely hot rum punch to keep the winter chills at bay. I will also be able to rustle up some other delights as Jim's taking his cracker of an oven!! Fingers crossed we get some nice crisp winter weather. We certainly don't want any of that guff Jim just had on his last trip!!

Canny make any promises As I have lost next years rota...and Eldest daughter has told me to keep my one remaining days holiday from this year free in Jan as part of my Christmas pressie...Wont tell me what it is..And can't at the mo tell me what day I need off...Doing my nut in she is....

I will endeavour to make it if any of the dates fall on my off days...Best I can do at the moment

A wee PS....Bus pass is broke...Knocked back today on the bus...Think I might have worn it out with all the trips this year....

Jelboy.

Well yid better get huntin fir that rota then Jelboy!!    Wouldn't be the same without you there! Your Christmas present sounds intriguing! Lucky you!.,    I'm not surprised the bus pass has packed in! It's knackered from its many jaunts to the Red Squirrel! Hope the replacement pops through the letterbox soon.

I have my ' try the bodhran ' Celtic connection class at 10.30 on Sunday morning so that counts me out for Saturday night . Will try for annual leave on the Friday so I can even have a one nighter.
I've still to spend a Saturday night in the Clachaig, some day....some day !

Can't wait to bring my ukulele on a meet, already after about 4 weeks I've outgrown the 20 one and have bought a slightly better one....... I can see this going the same way as tent buying . The old one won't go to waste, I've started calling it my sacrificial ukulele.....for use when fellow campers are overcome with the desire to shut me up by throwing my ukulele on the campfire........

We feel like doing that with several musical instruments sometimes Biz (All owned by the one person)But an accordion is a heavy bit of kit to be throwing on a fire...Mind you..As the flames take hold...We would probably get a "proper" tune out of it for the 1st time ever....

(Just a wee payback fur the bus pass comments)

Jelboy.

Found next years proposed rota (which is sort of pencilled in as we don't really know what we will be doing) According to it..I am N/S Sat 11th to Mon 13th with Tues 14th to Thurs 16th off and back to work Fri 17th....So a mid week stint for me if I can make it...

A few things to think about...So I'll get Christmas and Nerday out the way before I can say either way...Heart saying Aye...Head and wallet saying Naw (At the moment)

Jelboy.

I won't make it for this one. I've been invited out on the Sunday and can't make it during the week.

Just as well we didn't go over this weekend, given the weather. It was bad enough heading south on the motorways yesterday, but worse further north by all accounts.
