Now that the month of February is upon us, I thought it was about time to start up the Fabulous February Frolics meet

I will be there from 15th Feb until Friday 21st. (Sarah, I reckon if I get her a birthday pressie then I can get off on the Saturday!) As usual it is an open invitation, but priority will be given to those in possession of a bottle of amber nectar!

If I can get even a rough idea of anyone going, that will determine which tents I will be taking (along with the camping oven!)

Its going to be a quiet week! Mind you wee George is coming up for a couple of nights mid week. Could be a chance to try out the oven in the Trout Lake, see how things fit in.

Sorry Jim. We plan to be further north from the 13th. However, it's all weather-dependent so if the sun is shining in Glencoe the plans could change. See you a couple of weeks later anyway.

Don't!! I feel a new tent(s) urge coming on!

Look at the woodsmoke in the background of that picture - aaahhh! And the sun, and the leaves on the trees. I have yet to get to the Squirrel in the summertime. This year, definitely!

Aye...it's nice up there in the summer...The rains a bit warmer for a start....

But I think I prefer it in the earlier/later months as there are not so many folk about then

Not being anti social (you all know I'm not) I just think there is a better opportunity to see and hear more wildlife in and around the site in the quieter times...

Plus with biggish groups like ours can be there is a bit more freedom re some of the daft things we get up to...Less chance of disturbing folk around (which I am always conscious of) Though as you know I go to bed fairly early and have never been disturbed by anyone in our group sitting on by the fire for an hour or so...

Jelboy.

Too early really to be paying much attention to next Thursday/Friday's weather forecast but it looks like snow and rather cold temperatures in Glencoe but milder and wetter in Achiltibuie.

If that's still the choice nearer the time, then I'm heading to Glencoe. I want to camp in the snow for the first time!!! If I can get across the country in the first place, that is.

Minus 7 - that'll be a first too. And maybe a last, if I don't take about 15 sleeping bags!

Daughter's just been offered a job but said she can't start till after the camping trip. That's my girl!
