Any campers out there fancy a trip to the lovely Comrie Croft? The dates I'm looking at are Thursday 19th June until Sunday 22nd June. Most pitches come with fire pit or if your feeling sociable you can have a fire under the huge parachute tarp.

I stayed on the site nearly a year ago and was impressed by it. There is a new toilet/shower block, a small on site shop and a lovely little tea room serving delicious home baking.

Nothing much more to say other than a fantastic wee place to spend a few days away from it all! Hopefully my link to the Croft will work.

Who's joining in

* krazykamper - 4 nights, Thursday-Monday, Woodland Pitch 11
* armchaircamper - 2 nights, Thursday-Saturday, Woodland Pitch 10
* JimCall - 3 nights, Thursday-Sunday, Mystery Woodland Pitch
* Bowies x3 - 2 nights, Friday-Sunday, Lower Meadow Pitch
* thebiz - 2 nights, Saturday-Monday, Woodland Pitch 10
* Jelboy - 3 nights, Thursday-Sunday, Woodland Pitch 3

Also here for reviews.

I'm up for the Thursday and Friday nights, Krazy! Now, Low Meadow, High Meadow or woodland pitch? That's the question.

New compost loos opening in the High Meadow, April 2014! That would save a trek down the hill to the 'regular' facilities.

Put me down for the Friday night for 2 nights Krazy. I might manage the Thursaday nearer the time.

I think, depending on numbers we should be looking at the parachute field again, that was a rare laugh under that 'chute!

Thanks for the link tartan

Thanks for the review link armchair. Yes decisions, decisions re pitches. The woodland pitches are nice and at that time of year all the leaves will be on the trees. Just a wee bit longer to walk with your gear though.

Saturday 21st June is also the longest day...... Officially the start of summer..... Let's hope we get some sun to prove it!

Armchair, I think you should knit a wee 'Elsie' the hen for Comrie!

I have emailed the site so hopefully it won't be a problem for us to stay on those dates. We were well behaved last time

It'll be much nearer the time before I know when I'm working . Will do my bestest though, even if it ends up only one night.

Many thanks for the invitation Bowies, but by the 19th of June we will be at Caemawr caravan park in South Wales and by the 22nd we will be at Cwmrhwyddfor caravan park in Mid Wales.

At least Comrie Croft is a dammed sight easier to pronounce!!!

I've added thebiz and Jelboy to the list. Hopefully biz you will manage a night or two.

I've not had an email reply from Comrie yet, I'm sure they will have plenty space as the school summer holidays do not start until the following week.

I think I will just go ahead and book my pitch for the three nights. I will probably opt for the low meadow to save me carting all my gear up into the woodland pitches. But the woodland pitches will be in full bloom in June!!! May end up going for a wee woodland pitch
