Does anyone know of a specialist insurer for a home conversion big camper van that understands the type of insurance we would need?

The specialist insurers are Sheild Total Insurance, Adrian Flux and Campton, these are companys who will give you 90 or 120 days to complete the conversion and two of them then require you to have the V5 changed over to a motorhome with the DVLA.

I've insured mine today through a broker 2gether who are based at Wisbech, they have underwriters who are okay with the vehicle remaining registed as a van.

I have used Comfort motorhome insurance and have been with them for 2 years, Good rate and includes RAC breakdown UK and Europe
