Hello! Just to let folks know that I've put an advert on the "Free Adverts" page - selling a Swift Suntor. Check it out!

Hi..

Good luck with your sale..

We're probably looking to sell ours this year, as we're just not using it to anywhere near it's fully potential(..we were going to wait 'til nearer spring though?).

After a year of playing with our very basic Hiace "camping-van", we've realised that we're really more "campervan-campers", than "motorised-caravanners"..

So it'll be interesting to see how "successful" the free ads on here are...

I've put mine on this website, Practical Motorhome and Gumtree. I've had an enquiry on Gumtree so far. I've also put it on the Autotrader - no sooner had I placed the advert, did about 3 dealers contact me wanting to buy it - but of course, at a reduced price!

I'll take them up if I really can't sell it privately. I'm needing to sell sooner as we have plans! Good luck!

Hi..

Can I be cheeky and just ask how much lower, percentage wise, the dealers were offering?...

It's just that I'm lousy at selling stuff...it's probably because until now, I've  never had a vehicle worth selling!(...they've usually been run into the ground..and then cost me to get them towed away! )

Not cheeky at all! My hubby talked to one of them - one was a phone call you see and the other two just emailed us to contact them if we wanted. So the one that phoned us said that it was probably more around the 18,999 they could offer us (we're looking for 20,999, but will consider offers).

They said they would let us have the chance to private sell and call us again in 3-4 weeks. I'm keen to sell soon - but 18,999 is as low as I'll go as I have a brand new drive-away awning and lots of other stuff to sell with it.

It's all a bit nerve-wracking. I suppose it would be good to go through a dealer because then at least the money issue is all above board. I'm quite nervous about people coming to see it and how we'll ensure payment is made!
