Hi guys,

Can anyone give me any feedback on the customer/after sales service from Vehicles for Leisure (Wales)?

I am looking for feedback good or bad as I am thinking of buying my next van from them, but would appreciate some recommendations.

Thanks in advance

Sorry you have had no replies as yet. Maybe if you gave more information like make / type / new / pre owned etc, someone would be able to throw something useful to help. I did look at V F L Website, they do both new and preloved. I see you are in County Antrim, and have a M/H. There are dealers in and close to County Antrim, are you not interested in buy 'local'?.
I have most probably told you nothing that you don't already know, but I do know that I personally would always buy local. Whether new or not something can, and often does go wrong. I hope that someone will come along to offer the knowledge.

Because you have been luck enough not to be stopped don't make it legal........my understanding is that it is not legal to tow with an A frame in France and there are plenty of instances where vehicles have been stopped and made to drive separately.

I think Mohojo has had a wee senior moment and posted in the wrong posting.

Hi Austins,

Local dealers do not have any competition especially on dealership of NEW vans, hence the last time I changed vans there was a difference of 5,000.00 between buying in England and buying locally.

What I am interested in is their after sales service, which in my opinion should be the same weather you are buying new or secondhand!

We bought our van from them new in 2014. It was a leap of faith for us but we met Gary (owner) at the Birmingham show and he seemed a very down to earth bloke, not like a salesman but normal if you know what i mean. His son showed us round the Elddis stand van and then showed us the extras that were standard on the V4L Prestige version. We left a deposit there and then and took delivery as promised 6 months later.
We've had 2 problems with the van which Crissy dealt with for us first the water heater packed up, which she arranged for whale to come and fix at home, then the fridge at just over 2 years old.
They are a bit far away from us but I would buy from them again. Nice family run business.

At least one reply this far re the dealership, and what you wanted to know about them. I have just checked the NEC Motorhome Show, and they are exhibiting there. Stand Number. 19.47a. Pop over and take a look. Fleck2 has said he had a good feel about them. He did have 2 problems (even new vans have these) BUT, they were sorted with no bother at all. Best of luck.
