One of these snakes past within inches of my feet when i was standing enjoying the view at campsite in Abersoc North Wales a few years ago, ill admit it i almost sh-t myself at the time, wish i had a camera with me.

in all my years fishing, walking and now camping, up and down the country, I've never actually seen any of our native snakes in the wild, only ones I have seen have been in captivity, my uncle used to keep snakes and reptiles years ago, can't say I was keen on them then either, venomous or not

no tin tent outings booked as yet ,just another cruise in Sept' booked so far

Only ever seen two snakes in the wild...One slid past me across the path up from Durdle Door in Dorset...

The other...Was on a small campsite in Wales lying curled up on the road outside reception....

Thinking it was a child's toy I bent down to pick it up(to hand in) when it moved......Took them 3hrs to get me down off the Notice board where I landed when I jumped....

Not exactly scared of them but would rather they go their way and I go mine....
