I have a new laptop running with Windows8 but I am having some problems with this site in particular and was wondering if anyone can help.
After reading a topic most times the back button does not work and I need to go the long way back to the forum.
I cannot post a link using the hyperlink.
And I cannot get the little smiley faces to work either. Oh have just noticed I have no facility to change font colour.

Anyone able to offer advice.

Try using Google Chrome, otherwise it might just be the browser settings.

Download Firefox, you can post shortened hyperlinks on here no probs. Chrome was better than Firefox for a while but Firefox seems to have upped it's game & at the moment I find its the best one. Then find Bing on programmes & uninstall it, the flippin' thing gets in anywhere.

You can either click on the icon on the message 'Post Reply' window with the yellow smiley face on it - you then get a pop up showing you the available smiley faces and you just double click to include the one you want in a message - or you look up the keyboard short cut for it (" for example the preceding smiley face was created using shift colon and a closing curly bracket")

In most applications, facebook/messenger etc you just type :) to get it but for this site you must enclose it in square brackets

Hope that helps

David

Google Chrome works well for us in Windows 8 and now use it on all our Computer/Laptops instead of Firefox.
