Just wanted to share with ukcs folk - I'm proud as punch to have just spent a day with my aged p's who are celebrating 65 years of marriage tomorrow!

It's such an incredible and unusual achievement that you cannot buy a card for it in the shops!

Probably Carlisle area

Next Summer - France again I hope!

So many campsites, so little time!

Congratulations to your parents, I hope they have a lovely day tomorrow.

My own parents celebrated 65 years back in September 2005, sadly they passed away within a month of each other not long afterwards but at least they reached the milestone, got a card from the Queen and had a lovely party with family and friends.

I think my parents will be getting a card from the Queen as well - my dad has requested it online.

Mine knew nothing about it as I arranged it for them, so it was a complete surprise when it arrived.

Congratulations to them both. That is fantastic and I do envy you. I lost my dad suddenly after they had been married for 52 years, I still have a very sprightly mam but we do shed some tears together. I hope you and your parents have a great day together and cherish that card from the Queen.
I now have a static caravan in the heart of Northumberland and I feel close to dad as that is where he took us for our summer holidays - away days in our old banger but fantastic memories.

Many congratulations to them. We celebrate 58 years in 3 weeks and I am glad to say we still caravan and I still do all the towing. Last year we toured Scotland and are planning to go to the North East coast later this year.

Many congratulations Margaret to you and your husband. Not many people reach 10 years now. Keep enjoying your caravan as long as you can but most importantly enjoy our beautiful coast when you visit later this year.
