Yes well done Mike, gradually losing small amounts is the way to go but don't give up the beer and wine. Just think how many people you would do out of a job. Well thats my excuse!

That's a good first week loss Milke. Well done. You may get another big loss this week then it tends to slow down.
Don't forget to drink loads of water as that's how the weight gets out of your body (excretion)
Even if you stay the same or gain a bit don't give up, just carry on and you will continue to lose.
Good luck for this weeks weigh in.

Didn't know that about water. I hate the stuff and only take it when hillwalking.

Yep, that is right Ewen, water is a real boost to weight loss, and health issues in general. Very few people drink enough of it.

There is also proven huge benefits of starting the day with a decent sized glass of cold water on an empty stomach, something I now do.

I have for many years been a real water drinker, I probably drink 3ltrs of the stuff a day on average, more in hot climates. I am never far from water........It may be because I spent the vast majority of my working life near it, on it or in it! 😀😀

You wouldn't drink it at all if you realised what fish do in it

Beer is mostly water isn't it? Drink plenty of that.

Bob, trust me I do not need encouragement to drink beer! 😀🍺🍺

A few of the lads I coached and played rugby with towards the end of my playing days, used to try and keep count of the beer we drank post match, we never agreed, but like all good sportsmen we had a “warm up” which was six pints. We only started counting after the “warm up”

Unfortunately, old habits are hard to give up! 😳🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😳😳😀

Not big, not clever, it is just the way it was. I do not drink so much nowadays 😁😇😁😇

Apparently the least fattening alcoholic drink is vodka and sugar free coke...I wouldn't put water with it though.

Not exactly where I wanted to be, but 1lb down from Monday. 15st 9lb today. I guess half a stone in just less than two weeks is fine, and I have had a real cold this week......Feed a cold they say. 👍😀

Target for next Friday: 15st 6lb.
