It was fine in the wind. The central pole is thicker than the pole in my 4m and that made quite a difference. I've seen the 4m pole flex quite a lot in the wind but that didn't happen with this pole. Even so, when the wind got up a bit I took down the tarp and taped the tarp poles to the central pole for reinforcement, just in case.

In common with the 4m I found that the sides of the tent (the roof) were blown in and out by the wind so nothing could be pushed too close to the sides in case the rain was wicked through, as happened once with our bedding.

I took it down when I put up the tarp as it was in the way. I used it on the second tarp arrangement at the second site as I needed another guy. Thought I had plenty but forgot I'd taken them off to use on another tarp. Had to chop up my lovely long length of paracord as well.

I scrolled down and saw the first picture... Unbelievable,I thought, The Hebrides in winter look like it's summer, because you can't see any tree...

Then I remembered that I had seen this thread before... And then I had a look at the date...

Proud owner of Karsten, Tipi, Belle, Giraffen, Hyacinth, Poppy, and two nameless small Lidl-tents... no... I'm no addict... ;-)

Whoes a silly Billy then. Iv`e got no problem with this thread coming up again. It was probably the inspiration for us to get a Bell tent. A decision we don't regret in the slightest. Also it includes one of my fav pics that I have seen on this site. Geoff
