Over on the 'Life in General' forum, Nora has asked for recommendations for board games.

This got me thinking: What does everyone take for those rainy day alternative family activity?

We have :- Uno, Sitting Ducks, Heckmeck, For Sale, Bingo and a normal pack of cards.  All small boxed games to save space.

We would also tend to have a last game of Uno before turning in at night.

You have to be cruel to be unkind.
Kinky is using using a feather; wierd is using a whole damn chicken!

Proud owner of Karsten, Tipi, Belle, Giraffen, Hyacinth, Poppy, Apfel, and two nameless small Lidl-tents... no... I'm no addict... ;-)

Headbandz.....my children are all grown up yet we still play this every time we go camping! Other campers think we are mad....I won't disagree with them

There is only me and the Mrs these days as the girls left home a few yrs ago. We just sit and chat in the tent or in the pub lol. If it were in the tent it would be a bottle of wine or 2 to drown our sorrows !!

'Monopoly Deal' is our favourite. It's a card game based on the board game - quite strategic at times.

Topple blocks...the ones where everyone takes a turn removing one block at a time...Can be played throughout the day as long as there is a witness about when it's some ones turn Lends itself to cheating otherwise does that game...

Domino's haven't played that in years...Must try and get a good quality set for a quiet rainy night in the pub...
