We have arranged for my sister to have our son this weekend so we can have some us time. We are going camping and everyone I tell thinks we are mad apparently we should be in a hotel at presumably several times the cost. At least I know my bed is comfy and we get to test out the bounce of a megamat

I know you guys will understand

Have a great time. Don't pitch too close to anyone else if you're testing the megamats.

If you did not enjoy the reaction of the non campers you would not react to it yourself. It's a bit like me enjoying the reaction of non naturists to a pastime I regard as entirely normal & more sensible than textile camping.

Just a thought.

Due to the amount of times you've been tenting so far this year, I deduce the people you have told, don't know you very well?

Regards James

In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.

You are definitely mad! It was bloomin' cold here last night and I had to turn the central heating on

Lovely day today though

It is a bit chilly at night time now. You may need to cuddle up to keep warm.

Have fun without the tiny human.

I don't think they have yet diagnosed camping as a form of madness, although to some it is.

Like all madness it depends were you are on the spectrum, some of us are more badly effected than others.

Just keep taking the pills and you will be ok.

Of course there is no hope for the naturists amongst us, that also go tent camping, sorry about that opensauce.

Well we're off this weekend too for a last jolly. Bodfan farm Rhosneigr. Got EHU, extra blankets, thick pyjamas. Main concern is drying out the camplet canvas but hey...no pain no gain and its still only September.

Have a good weekend PB.

Oh yeah... we understand alright!

First off, you're dumping laddo off with your sister. I bet it was only 30 years ago you couldn't stand each other and were constantly squabbling. Now all of a sudden she's your best mate and apparently capable of looking after your most prized possession!
Then of course, there's the smutty innuendo, not to mention the suggestion of the act itself... in a tent... on a campsite... with neighbours! The mind boggles!
And finally, the lies... ok, they haven't started yet, but knowing what I know about camping without children, it's a given that this weekend will go so fantastically well, that it will soon be "sorry son, they only have availability on the adult only field. You'll have to stay at aunties... again"! Poor lad. Before you know it, he'll be wandering the streets of the metropolis with the soles of his crocs hanging off, nicking gentlemens hankerchiefs in the hope of making a farthing or two in order to eat!
"Mad"? "Bad" more like!
I just hope you can live with yourselves come Monday, when your whole world turns upside down!
Shameful... truly shameful!

If the weather doesn't play ball, although it might depending on which bit you're off to, it will give you all the more reason to quality control your Megamat

Have a great weekend.

Just realised I didn't come and update this. We had a wonderful time, although we did get soaked when walking on the beach, rain not sea.

My sister and her husband said our son was delightful and they will have him any time

Our son said he would like to stay with them again but not for a little while He wanted to come home on Sunday morning but couldn't as we were looking at Karstens

All in all it was a brill weekend, not cold at all just a bit wet

and Mucker, no guilt

but I would like a recount on my age
