Hi, After help/advice on what to do about a broken hinge on my battery locker.

Have a look Here to see what I mean, the bottom picture shows it best.

Can the hinge be repaired? Has anyone done it?

If not, is it just the surround that will have to be sourced, or is it the whole box? The design looks like it was widely used, so I should be able to get one from a breakers if that is the case.

Lawrence

What about seeking the advice of either Bailey direct or a dealer as they may have come across this before?

Ive seen them repaired with super glue, no idea how long the repairs last,

I think if you can find a plastic welder or company who does it, you should be able to effect a repair

if it was mine i would take off the whole lot inc frame.drill out the main pin if it will not push out.make a block of hard wood to fit snug inside the broken hinge, glue the lot together with a top epoxy glue cost about £5.when dry drill out the hole to take the main pin.as a back up you could drill and put a nut and bolt through the centre of the repaired hinge towards the inside.the head of which should not fowl the lid when opening and closing.
