OH took a gamble a few weeks ago and purchased an Icarus 800 side canopy/porch to fit onto the side of our Maritsa.

We've not had chance to pitch it in our garden, so had to wait for our outing this weekend to try it - and risk the red faces if it didn't fit and looked ridiculous.

However.. I can safely say that with a bit of fiddling around with the way its pitched up against the side of the tent, IT FITS!!!

I don't know if its what others are looking for or not - we've got the front porch, but there are some sites, like Norden Farm where we were this weekend, where it just wouldn't have been feasible to have it attached - we'd have been blocked the road through the site.

I took some pics.. they're not great, but will give you an idea of what is looks like..

The ONLY issue is the fabric which goes over the top of the tent isn't quite long enough, so we're going to try and source a piece of tent material in Vango Moss Green so that it can be stitched on and make it 100% watertight over the roof of the tent - anyone any ideas where we might get some from before I go hunting on Google?!

We didn't get the extra piece of material to go over the tent in the end. Both our camping trips after this one photographed were wet and windy at times, and the canopy didn't let any water in..

We did manage to position it better on the sides too to make it less prone to letting water in, but as this is just like a 'hallway' for us, there's no flooring down in there and its only for taking shoes off before going into the tent.

Won't camp without it now..
