Does anyone know roughly when these arrive in the shops and showrooms?

We are going to get a new weekend tent, but I want to see before I buy ideally.

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

It different for each shop but most retailers and suppliers look to the early/mid part of March to get stock in and start pitching.
If its your weekend tent then I would imagine you are looking for a simple quick to pitch tent, in that case there will be less of a difference in tents than if you were looking for a big family tent.
You could do a lot worse than a simple 3 hoop tunnel tent that you can stand up in and have two bedroom compartments at the back.
Im sure others will come along and suggest models but there are some superb bargains around right now but these bargains normally get snapped up pretty quickly just before the season starts.
Take a look at the Coleman DeGama range, Coleman Galileo and the Vango Icarus 500/600 ... All good simple weekend tents and pretty cheap so nothing much to lose.

Cheers Gary, you're spot on, I'm thinking of the Icarus 500/600. For two adults and two children. But I'm not sure which would be best for us, so that's why I'd like to see them.

Then I seem to remember hearing that the Icarus 600 was going to be a GO exclusive for 2014? Something like that. And if that's the case, I'm not sure I want one, because I'm guessing that spares will be easier to get for a main model of something.

Thanks for the reminder about the Coleman, I think I liked that when I was looking at the end of last year. I'd better go and look again.

The 500 is the exclusive as far as I'm aware and the 600 is discontinued (some bargains to be had) but as for spares its only the poles you might need and they are easily got from any good store as spare sections. The 500 will fit two double air beds just across the back, the 600 has that little bit extra on the width.
You need about 140cm per double airbed and about 150cm for two single beds.
Hope this helps.

That's great information, thank you.

It looks like vango might have the Isis as the replacement for the Icarus? That's what it looks like to me from their website anyway. :)
