Hopefully will get time later to put up.
Anybody know were i can buy a heavy duty foot pump at short notice, so I can test pitch in the back garden.
If not I'll have to buy a 240 one from aldi

Mine's here. Attempting to put it up in a friend's garden on my own. Had to use a bike track pump as I can't get a car near to use the compressor. It just won't go up though. Just twists round.

Have you got enough pressure in the tubes, and is it pegged out as far as possible? You should be able to push poles outward until it stands up without twisting then.

Yes finally got it up. Currently getting confused with awnings. How do we stop the zips coming up on the comfort awning? There is mention of some zip locks but no idea what they are?

The zips should stay down when pegged out, I presume the zip locks are the silver hook and ring you connect( at bottom of zips near floor), keeps the bottom of zipped panels together and takes any strain off the zip?

It got all complicated, the design might have changed recently which means our two doors are not interchangeable and we were attempting to attach the awning to the wrong door. Will update more fully later with photos.

MM - which pod do you have please and what is the other opening for, and where is it placed? If it's a 350 with sleeping extension the 350 awning will only fit on the front , not the side link.

It's hard to explain without knowing the configuration.

As for the twisting - that happens first time on the brand new ones. The weight of material twisted round the tubes means it won't go up - I got concerned with ours too.

However, just step in and rearrange the fabric - it's logical where it needs to go.

Do the new ones come with a DVD? Mine came with a VHS video which was useful, but they would obviously be DVDs now.

Must be very frustrating i hope everything gets sorted. I'm sure in the excitement things seem a little to much but I'm sure once you have sorted all the little niggles it will become second nature & things will whiz by next time.

Maddie.

Mine arrived around 3pm and everything seems fine. It took me about 2 hours from arrival to getting it all up on my own but most of that was unpacking and working out which bits go where, tying guys on for the first time, etc.. In future I am confident that I would be able to get the main pod up, single handed, within 30 minutes of arriving on site and the rest within another 30 minutes, less if I have help.

I too had problems with twisted poles/fabric and the tent refusing to stand up so I just attached the middle guys to it to give it a helping hand which seemed to do the trick. I also saw a little trick whereby you pull the poles down where they cross and then release to allow the tent to spring into shape.

Looking forward to using it for the first time this weekend.

Dave
