It is very lovely! And huge, bigger than my old cttage too! though I think we will appreciate the space with 2 boys to entertain when the norwegian weather gives us it's best shot ;) The first thing our eldest (3 yrs old) did when it was up was run from one wall to the other giggling his head off and dancing like a loon so it's safe to say he likes it :) We haven't tried the mesh walls yet (you zip off the canvas from the groundsheet and zip on the mesh) but I think they will be a really nice feature come next summer. It is a really lovely space to be inside, I was relaxing inside with the baby yesterday with just the mesh door and it was really serene despite the fact that we were next to a path down to the lake and everyone was taking a good look as they went past ;) My inlaws came for a look yesterday morning and thought it was great though my father in law joked it was a sirkustelt (circus tent) ;)

Hello,
We are looking at bell tents. We really like the range and from what I have read the quality sounds good but when looking for reviews we came across this site which had some very scathing reviews of their customer service. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/belltent.co.uk

We have been in touch with them over pre purchase queries and they have been quick and friendly to respond and based on that I have zero complaints and would be very happy to order but we can't shake the niggling worry over what we read. So, any belltent.co.uk/ Camping with Soul customers with positive stories to reassure me? Or cautionary tales?
Many thanks,
Becca

You have to choose who you trust for reviews very carefully as many can be gamed for competitive advantages by others for a variety of reasons.

If you take this post by LoxyFoxes towards the bottom of pg5 http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=3&TopicID=336247&PagePosition=1&ThreadPage=5&ReturnPage=Search&search=&searchIn=

I noted, a new poster and also noted vango were giving away replacement tents to some existing owners. Trying it on for a new tent perhaps? Now I dont know if this is a fake post like fake news or not, but reviews can be a stark contrast to our own experiences. Even when looking at ourselves, we dont all have good days, I'm sure some have had bad days which then knocks on to other things, so all we can do is just be mindful of the fact theres always two sides to every story and some peoples experiences may not be the norm.

I think its a human trait to focus on the negatives and then spread those around on review sites especially if its easy to do and once on the internet its there for ever.

Put another way, when did you leave a positive review for all the things that you have been pleased with, compared to a negative review when things havent gone right?

Hi, this is why I was keen to get some personal opinions on here, not that that is foolproof of course as it still isn't people I know personally but better than trusting completely random reviewers. In the end we went with the Sibley protech 600 DD from Canvascamp as it had a feature (the totally mesh walls) which we liked which didn't seem to be available elsewhere plus the heavier duty canvas we wanted. We are really happy with this and I have left a glowing review on this site :) I have to say my limited interaction with belltentuk was very positive and it is not unlikely that we will order some accessories from them at some point in the future.

I have a couple, though the one of the outside of the tent isn't great, might wait until we get a chance to pitch it again for that one... I need to get them onto my computer then figure out how to get them on here

This is the easiest site to place photos as it doesn't require messing around with any intermediate picture hosting sites....just follow the instructions and insert your chosen image or images straight into the given box, and all will be done!

I've added one, a slightly arty one I took lying in it looking up, the light coming through on a sunny day is amazing!. Most of the others have my kids or it is only partly up and looks a bit saggy :-/ Down to near freezing temps here overnight so I think we will be waiting till next year for our next trip unfortunately (got the bug now! this camping stuff is addictive!)
