Go up the Great Orme, either by tram, car, or cablecar if they are running (weather dependent) stunning views and quite a few nice walks and attractions from the summit, its about a 30 min drive up the A55 from Snowdon, and will also take you through the Conwy tunnel and onto visit the famous walled town and castle, then maybe enjoy a nice meal in one of the local restaurants, or to visit the multiplex cinema at Llandudno junction with its KFC or McDs if thats your sort of thing.
For walkers who like the quieter trails, park up at the head of the Sychnant pass, just outside the Conwy walls, and take one of the mountainside paths.
Nearer to Snowdon are the mountain railway, slate caverns, electric mountain, visitor centre, and Llanberis pass.
Its one of our favourite areas, and we often visit for a few weeks at a time during the season, touring the area down as far as Festiniog,
Llangollen, then over to Anglesea (where its possible to do a day trip over to Ireland as a foot passenger for a reasonable rate) or to visit South Stack nature reserve and follow the coastal path. There are some lovely little coves up on the northwest coast of the island, where you can pull in and watch the seascapes on a choppy day, a nice spot to enjoy a packed lunch from the warmth and comfort of your car.
I hope you have a lovely time, and have many happy years together in the future.
Just love to be out amoungst Nature and Wildlife
