We have been to the Plassey a few times now and are booked in to stay a fair bit over the coming months. We have stayed on site til now as we love it so much but would like to take the kids out to a few local places they will enjoy. They range between 9 and 2. Also have two dogs. Can anyone recommend some free or not too expensive places/activities in the area that might fit the bill?

Ty Mawr Country Park
Ice Cream factory Tattenhall
Alyn Waters Country Park
Loggerheads Country Park

Hope this helps as you are obviously restricted because of your dogs. My favourite is Loggerheads. It is a bit further out but a lovely walk and has a cafe too.
