The Club’s new Stonehaven Queen Elizabeth site in Scotland to open three weeks ahead of plan
The Caravan Club’s new site, conveniently located just 15 miles south of Aberdeen, will be open for business on 14 June.
The site provides 77 pitches, equating to around 9,500 pitch nights to the end of 2013 with more being available when the site operates from March to November next year.
Bookings for the site are already approaching 500, and with the most expensive pitch costing just £8.50 per night during August, it offers great value for money.
Stonehaven brings the number of Caravan Club sites in Scotland to 30 which is great news for members as the popularity of touring in Scotland is increasing. It’s also the second site The Club has opened in the last year following the successful opening of Strathclyde Country Park Caravan Club site in October 2012.
Attractions in the area include an Olympic-sized, heated, open air swimming pool and paddling pool, fed by seawater, as well as fishing villages, a variety of restaurants and a scenic beach walk to the cliffs of Dunnottar Castle is just two miles away. For those wishing to experience some city culture, the town’s railway is part of the mainline link to Edinburgh so there is plenty of opportunity to see the sights and enjoy what Scotland has to offer.
Director of Marketing for The Caravan Club, Tony Hall, says, “The Club is always looking to add new sites to the network, and due to the increasing popularity of Scotland as a destination for so many of our members, Stonehaven is a great location that can be enjoyed by those living in Scotland and for families wishing to explore north of the border.”
