I was surprised that the campsite search here doesn't throw anything up for Windsor. There are sites for nearby Slough or Woking though - just try putting in nearby places.

Why not use the Campsite area Radius Search from here  and pinpoint all sites within 5, 10 or 20 miles of your chosen destination

Cheers  Ratty

Amerden is the closest to Legoland it's in Taplow not far from Slough. If you don't mind CL's there's a CC site on a farm in Maidenhead it's not on the camp site search but if you're interested i'll get you the number as it's just around the corner from me.

Chertsey is a nice site (right on the Thames) and is about 25/30 minutes from both Legoland and Chessington and about 10 minutes from Thorpe Park.

We stayed at Amerden near Bray a couple of years ago when we were attending a family wedding in Windsor, the reception was within walking distance of the campsite. On the Sunday we had a lovely walk along the river looking at the houses of the rich and famous! Lovely site really clean and well kept facilities, I thoroughly recommend it unless you are the sort that is bothered by noise - it is right next to the M4 and under the heathrow flight path.

I agree Amerden is a nice site, and tbh we didn't find either the plane nor the traffic a problem.

This thread sounds familiar so not sure if I am repeating this but Swiss Farm in Henley is a short drive away. We stayed there last year before we went to Legoland.

We have not long come back from a short break to legoland and we also stayed at swiss farm at henley on thames http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1366.  Lovely site, its about a 20-30 min drive away from legoland. I would recomend this site.

Hope that helps.

Hi, I can recommend Hurley Riverside. Stayed there last year. Nice site, nice location by the river and handy for Legoland, Windsor, Henly etc.
