I felt the need to comment on the booking quote i got from Sandy Balls today.A week in August for my family of four =£375.00! Bloody hell thats 54 quid a night. We used to go there lots but i have to say in our opinion thats crazy money. The pool.pub and club are all the same size they used to be years ago and they were over subscribed then.I cant see how they can justify asking that much for a night.
Anybody else had any crazy quotes?

In a word no. But we tend to stay well clear of the 'all singing and dancing' sites. That is a heck of an amount for one weeks camping plus you will need to add on spending money and food allowance etc. You would be cheaper going abroad!! There are hundreds of sites out there that would be a fraction of the cost. Have you looked and priced other sites in the area?
The reason you are paying throught the neck is because of all the facillities ie pool, pub and club.

Agree. And it's Dorset, so anything South/South West in high season is extortionate. Actually I don't think the price is that bad compared with some basic sites in Devon(I won't name names) but one without a pool, bar, or entertainment etc charges just over £40.00 a night during the Summer, so comparing that with Sandy Balls for what you are getting Sandy Balls is probably about right. Although it doesn't make it right.
Just sums up the cost of stuff in Britain today.

It is a high price, but you are paying for all the facilities for a family of four, don't think you could go abroad and get the equivalent for £375.
Do agree there are a large number of price points available, even in August. This is only really expensive if you pay for all the facilities and don't want or make use of them. If you don't want or need them there are many other options open to you.
