Best airshows I know are at Shuttlworth, old machines that are kept airworthy.
http://www.shuttleworth.org/
I have flown in there several times, and also make a point of going the day before the actual show when practice is going on, just as good as 'the real thing'!
Use UKCS campsite search, to find a convenient /suitable site for yourself.

RIAT is the one if you are just doing one show, it is the biggest after all.
Best campsite would be this one http://www.airshowcamping.co.uk/ right on the airbase perimeter and most importantly very close to one of the entrance gates for show days unlike others that are nowhere near as close or so well organised.
I have been the last three years and always good but book soon as it fills up quick.
