Hi,
We have booked Chy Carne in the school summer holidays, looks like we have to take our Labrador called muttley with us!!! Dose anyone know if the beaches are dog friendly? Is there plenty of dog walks around the area? We normally leave him so any advice camping with a dog would be appreciated?
Many thank
Debbie

The beach at the bottom of the hill (Kennack Sands) has a dog friendly section (it's split in two)  what is a little disappointing is that it's the furthest stretch of beach from the car park and is reached by a narrow coastal path which is a tad annoying and would not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Coverack (small fishing harbour) has a small pebble and sand beach with rockpools and dogs are allowed all year there.  Loe Bar (near Porthleven) is a larger sandy/shingle beach which also allows dogs all year, often quiet due to limited parking and no facilities.

The coastal path at the Lizard is a good walk.  If you park up in the middle of the Lizard village and walk down towards the lighthouse,  cafe right on the edge of the cliffs for a cuppa and a break!

The walk down to Kynance Cove is also nice.  Park up in the national trust car park and walk down over the hill towards the cove.

I would agree with all Chelsea girl has said Kynance is worth a visit but the beach does have a dog ban in the summer. It’s a short hop to the café over the beach which does really nice food and cream tea’s etc If Mr dog Warden is about (never seen one) you could carry across.
