If you are going peak July August any good site in Dorset will be very busy. Dorset was the west country best kept secret but word is getting out.
Norden Farm is our most favourite site to be honest but Freshwater is good (no sea swimming due to the steeply shleving beach), Woodyhide is good also. not yet mentioned but often recommended is Wareham forest. I uderstand Newlands Park at Charmouth comes recommended also.

Anywhere in Dorset near the coast is lovely - we live in Dorset and there is lots to see and do. Best beaches are near Bournemouth and along studland - lovely and sandy. The isle of purbecks is fantastic scenery wise. Swanage, Lyme Regis and Weymouth (a bit more touristy) are lovely seaside towns.
Hope you find somewhere lovely - please report back as always looking for somewhere local.

West fleet farm is great -not sure if you have kids but really geared up with heated pool- and it. Is heated so warm even on the coldest days and nic splay areas and a great new clubhouse and families
There sister site Sea barnhart views to die for and is a bit quiter and has the added bonus of you can use west fleets pool and bar etc-it's about a mile down a track between them
