Just spent several days at Cawood park, Cawood between York and Selby.

Nice little site in a very peaceful surroundings. Sat in the middle of the vale of York, within a short walk to Cawood village, this site is a very nice chill out place. There is a small swimming pool, which you have to book to avoid crowding. Decent little bar and there is also weekend entertainment during the holiday season. The touring site is open all year round, which makes a nice change.

Each of the touring pitches are full service pitches, however, be aware that there is a limit of 10 amp per pitch, which can be a tad limiting. Ours kept tripping, but it was more to do with an actual breaker in the control cabinet being faulty and they had no problem seeing to it real quickly.

Each pitch has an astro turf section on which to put your awning. Never seen this before and it made a very nice change to the usual hardcore / muddy grass areas that accompany so many sites.

Not the cheapest place we've stayed at a cost of 100 quid for four nights. Toilet block is clean, but very dated and could do with a pimp up. Not a major down side as the facility is kept clean and does what it says on the tin.

For those of you that like fishing, there is decent size fishing lake with good spots and looks as if overcrowding would be kept to a minimum.

Will definitely be using it again in the future.

Nice review - could you put it in the review section of the campsite's listing? It'll get lost here in this forum, but we can read it years from now if you add it to the other reviews of the site.
