We notice a lot of people comment on sites they have visited but have not left reviews. Also there are many members who have posted thousands of message board posts, but never left a site review.

The reviews section is the best part of this site, so if you get a moment everyone please contribute to it.

Whenever you return from a weekend away, take 5 minutes to write a quick review please! It doesnt have to be a Shakespearian masterpiece, just a brief summary of what the site is like and constructive comments where appropriate. Dont worry if there are already other reviews, the more the merrier!

Just search for the campsite using the campsite search ( Camp Site Directory - UK Camp Site button above ). The easiest way to find the site is to to type in the first few lettersof the name, or use the Map to narrow it down until you see it. Once you have found the site, click on the add review Submit your Review! button, and leave your comments!.

Why not add it to your going away checklist, and make it a habit when you return !

Many thanks indeed, it's very much appreciated, and ensures everyone gets to benefit from the shared knowledge

Cheers

Ian

We are pleased to announce a new way of searching, making finding your perfect pitch even easier

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/maplarge.asp

All campsites are now shown on a map - give it a go. This complements the existing search methods, you can use which ever you find most effective.

Hopefully the maps will prove very useful

Cheers

Ian

it says when leaving a reply (Important: If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read!) but when you go the the listings there nothing to tell  you how to link it to here how do you do it please.

They dont want to turn up at these "little gems" and find them full, so they keep them to themselves!

this is probably the best system for finding campsites on the www - as far as I've seen anyway. Map thing (clickable radius idea) is excellent. Cheers.

I am one of the Guilty,  I have done a few postings about Campsites, but not put them on the Campsite Review site, the reason being that we stayed on the camp sites several years ago, and thought they would look too far out of date on the reviews, these sites are local to us, some have public rights of way through the camps to get us to the lovely scenic Coastline views, which I thought other campers might like to share.

Have tried using the link, and am hoping to have a go again, still have lots to learn, but on the posts I always tell people to look at your Campsite listings.

How far back in years are we allowed to go back on the Campsite Review Site?

The review form allows you to select "year of visit" back to 2007, but if you want to leave a review for an earlier visit (as I did recently for a 2005 one) just add an appropriate note.
