Has anyone any experience of motorized bicycles, e.g. VeloSolex (now being sold again in Britain)?

From what I can see, they really are a simple bicycle with a motor. Do about 200 miles per litre fuel, top speed 23 mph.

Just a note you will have people tell you . You carnt tour on this or that but it's all about mind set and how far in what time scale .
No point having big bike that you carnt even pick up on your own . But not much use getting a tinny scooter if you want to blast of here and there .

Just take your time and look at every thing don't dismiss a bike because the shop or some one wouldn't tour on it .

I think it's a brilliant idea you have .
Just thought take a look at Dax monkey bikes . Love my monkey bike but the Dax tend to be slightly bigger so more comfortable and more power cc .

Jimcall - Honda Pan European 1100 - never heard of it, but just twigged you talk about it in the present tense! Gonna have to sniff them out for further appraisal!

i dropped my pan european and it was fully loaded for camping, took two people to get it upright , oh the embarassment

Probably not one for a 7 stone weakling like me then! I'm still leaning towards Honda C90 due to very reasonable prices and availability of parts and the fact that you can hang a lot of gear on them. They really seem to be the motorbike eqivalent of a mule - slow, tough and cheap to keep!

There are some great offerings on YouTube for these sturdy little bikes.

Went for a free hour on a scooter the other day, first time ever NEAR a bike, let alone on one! I know its what I want, just have to save about 500 pound coins now
