So you want to put a picture into a post!?

This post will show you how. It seems quite long, but trust us, it's actually very easy, and once you've done it once you'll find you fly through the process.

First thing to say is the picture must already exist somewhere on the internet! If yours does then skip to part 2 ! Otherwise you need to follow step 1 first.

Part 1 - Upload your photo to the internet

If the picture is on your computer, tablet or phone, you will need to upload it to the internet before it can be put into a post.

Below are instructions for http://tinypic.com/ which is very easy to use, and you don't need to register, but you can use only image hosting system you like, eg Flikr, Photobucket etc.

Visit http://tinypic.com/ and follow the instructions to upload your image. You'll see something like this:

It's really easy, browse for the image from your computer, then click on the UPLOAD NOW button. (It will probably ask you to enter a couple of antispam questions)

Once the photo has uploaded you'll see a screen titled "Share This Image" which looks something like this:

You'll see four options, you need to select the one titled "Direct Link for Layouts" we've circled it in red. Use your keyboard to copy the address it gives you.

Note your image URL will always end in .jpg or .gif If it doesn't then you are not using the correct URL - it will look something like this it will look something like http://i66.tinypic.com/2mo5rb9.jpg

You now have the image URL so you can proceed to step 2 and post it into your message.

Part 2 - Insert your photo into your post

Once your image exists on the internet somewhere you can add it to your post.

To add a photo to your message, use the Add Imageicon above the message box - it looks like this We've circled it and arrowed it in this image:

To add your image, click on the icon - it will open a new window which says "Enter the web address of the image" - it looks something like this

Type in the web address URL (or PASTE the address from step 1) of the picture you want to use (the URL will look something like http://i66.tinypic.com/2mo5rb9.jpg ) Note your image URL will always end in .jpg or .gif If it doesn't then you are not using the correct URL

Click on OK and the image code will be inserted into your message. It will look something like this, we've circled the code in red.

Now just click on the "Post Reply" Or "Post message" button to submit your whole post, and the picture will appear in your post once you submit the message , like this!!

You're done! - Practice on this thread

Practice on these pages to perfect putting photos into your posts.

It was taken in June on the C & CC Rally at Pin Parasol in France

That was a dry day

One of the few

This was more the norm

Notice the water feature

And damp UKCS flag
