Well, the baby is now a toddler, and I had the horrible realisation that I'd better check that she fits her nitestar baby bag before we go camping this weekend...
Um, not quite! Her biggest sister is also getting to the end of her convertable bag, so rather than buying the little one a new bag, I was thinking of putting her in her sister's, then buying either a larger junior bag, or an adult bag for the 6 year old. Did a search, and found advice on a 2010 post saying go for an adult bag.
Question is, how good do we go? Is it a case of the more we spend, the longer it will last, or is there a natural lifespan for all of them?

If you wash them after every trip they won't last as long. Do as Steve says & use a liner in them which you can wash regularly. The kids may find a fleece liner more cosy & tangle-free than a cotton one.
If you buy an adult bag for your 6 year old & she feels a bit 'lost' in it, just use some strong cord or a belt to tie around it below her feet, so she'll feel snug.

Hadn't thought of a liner, thanks, will have to sort that out.
Have ordered 2 Sprayway Challenger 350 women's bags (thinking ahead for the 4 year old) in red and purple. Of course, they'll both want the purple...
Don't think I'll get delivery by tomorrow, so will have to look out our 'guest' sleeping bag for the big one!

10 years would do nicely
We take sleeping bags out of their compression sacks and put them in large cotton bags to store.
Still waiting on my order to even leave the warehouse . The company got in touch two days after we ordered, to say that they'd run out of the red . Hopefully the two (purple) bags will turn up before our next camping trip!
