They look ideal, if only they had some proper lids.

I have concerns about nesting pans, in that they may scratch during storage and transport.

Easy to resolve by putting some padding such as tea towels or kitchen papers in between.

There is only one set of nesting pans for me though, and I have seen and held these in person when I was in Paris earlier this year, and they were gorgeous:

Tefal Ingenio Stainless Steel (not non-stick) 3-pan set with 1 handle and no lids

Yes the Ingenio range looks good, but since when was a lid an optional extra ? Lol

I currently nest two non matching pans, one of them has a straining lockable lid so great for potatoes etc; Its a Campingaz Flexi pot. I keep a disc of cardboard in the bag they are stored in to prevent rubbing and noise in transit. The smaller pan is a two quid non stick Tesco basic with lid and I remove the handle at the end of each trip ( requires a screwdriver )

Would be great to have a matching set, but these have served me well and I insist on lids ;)

All my pans at home did not come with lids, and I had to buy the lids separately.

If I were to buy a set of pans for camping now, I would definitely consider the Ingenio.

Having said that, I am very happy with my full set of MSR Alpine Stowaways. They come with lids and I can nest two pans together (1+3, 2+4, 1 being the smallest, and 4 being the largest).

These are a great set of pans and really nice to cook with!!

The other really nice thing is they are screw in handles with a nice grip too.

Did anyone here, actually buy these from Aldi please?

Had a look at them today, but each pan is sealed in a bag, so couldn't get a proper look at the finish and it doesn't say what they're made of. They were nice and light, but wondered if anyone's used them???

I went into Aldi yesterday and saw them. They were still in individual sealed bag but I poked a finger through the hole - surface felt good. Handle also clips on very solidly to pans, though only 2 handles for 4 pans. 2 plastic storage lids too. I didn't buy as my current pans are ok(ish) but I want pans with lids (to reduce gas consumption and amount of steam created) and also because none of the pans were deep or wide enough for me to do pasta in for 4. The small pan is deep enough but not got enough capacity!

Thanks for that Poppy, I didn't dare break into the bags! Size wise they'd be fine for me and lack of lids doesn't bother me...I'll just use a tin plate as a lid to bring to boil when camping.

Don't want to pay full price though, perhaps they'll reduce them ...plenty still left near me.

at   Poppy. For pasta / boiling potatoes etc for 4 people I can highly recommend. Campingaz Flexi Pot. Not part of a nesting set though. It has a build in colander section to the locking lid and a decent non wobbly handle i'd be lost without mine.

here's a video

I'll be honest mine was a bargain buy , World of Camping want 15.99 on fleabay but I would still recommend it at that price .

Edit it works out a pound cheaper from their website even payong for delivery.
