Can anyone recommend a stopover up to 100 miles out of Calais on the A26?

Around Arras looks about right.

Thanks & HNY

The adress of the camping municipal is. 166 Rue du Temple
62000 Arras. Put it in your sat nav or print off a map from Mappy or ViaMichelin.

Arras is a lovely town to go for a drink/meal on an overnight stop. We did this last year but stayed in the F1 tho.

Thanks for the suggestions - any more that don't take me in to Arras itself - La Paille Haute would be ideal but opens a 2 weeks too late

We stayed in the B&B at Arras, twice this year, handy for both the first overnight and the last, it is a brand new Hotel only opend early this year, big rooms compared to other B&B's, the showroom was also a good size, with a pukka power shower, there is a Auchan supermarket directly opasite the hotel with a superb restaraunt, cheap as chips although the system is a challenge!, also within walking distance is another very good restauraunt called "Cherrie" part of a chain, but top end nosh, although a little on the expensive side for us so we gave it a miss, wierd thing was although it was gourmet style, it had a Drive Through!

A few years ago, there was a service area at km post 217 from Calais on the A26,  heading south which had an area for caravans, set off from the main parking, with bays and water pumps. It was really colourful with flowers, and lavender.

Don't know if it is still maintained as such, but someone may have more recent info.
