May be a useless suggestion unless you get the passports sorted but if you love the Eden project then I can highly recommend the garden festival at Chaumont sur Loire, kind of like the Chelsea Flower show but the show gardens are open all Spring and Summer, plus the chateau to see as well. There's a municipal campsite right on the river there too.

Well I managed to get an appointment for tomorrow in London - I live in Cardiff. Just as I was going to book the Megabus, I thought I'd have 1 last try and they had released some more appointments in Newport for Sunday! I couldn't believe my luck. Day well and truly made so we're on for France and I'm so excited!
