Morning all,
We're looking for a campsite in Belgium near Bruges that has pitches big enough for the new 8 foot buccaneer, has good wifi, accepts dogs, has somewhere to swim and isn't next to a motorway.

They're 2 a penny in France, but I cant find any in Belgium, so any recommendations would be most gratefully recieved.
Thank you

Their website says spacious pitches but that isn't consistent with reviews. Its very handy for Bruges but may be too small for your unit. Camping Memling . I've not used it personally but do know the area quite well. Website doesn't mention dogs but does have wi fi. Maybe worth a question?

Camping Memling has a choice different size pitches and I've seen very big motorhomes there in the past (didn't notice the size of the caravans, sorry).

They have a choice of 5.5m x 8m pitches for small motorhomes and larger 8m x 10m for larger motorhomes, caravans and large tents. Their booking form gives details here I don't know if this will fit your van and car but if unsure maybe a quick call e-mail will confirm?

Maybe the reviews mentioning small pitches were on the smaller pitches which are cheaper.

It's a good site that I've used several times. Good supermarkets (and petrol station) just a short walk away.
Easy to get into the city centre on foot or by bus.

Visit Belgium but camp in Holland - always the best plan.

Camping de Meidoorn at Sluis is just over the Dutch border and only 12 miles from Bruges. Unless that is too far away it meets most of your wish list - I just don't know about the swimming. We drove into Bruges and used the enormous underground car park.

Thanks everybody, We didn't think the pitches in Memling would be big enough for my parents' unit & it diesn't have anywhere to swim. Berriow, that site looks ok, it diesn't seem to have anywhere to swim either. But a good idea to look at dutch sites, I hadn't thought about that :)

There is a swimming pool in the park next to the Memling campsite.
