Hi we are looking to go on a big family camping caravan holiday next year in August in the Languedoc region in France . We will want to fly into Bezier and maybe not more of an hour away . My mum will be driving down with her caravan but the rest of the family want to say in chalets/safari tents. Looking at euro camps but very exepnsive. We would like some fun activities on site
for the kids like pools slides, close to the beach etc.Ideally situated close to a village center with some local amenities . Any ideas would be greatly appreciated . thank you

There are lots of large, fun filled campsites along that coast. One which is only 10 miles from Beziers airport (an easy taxi ride) is Domaine de la Yole at Valras Plage. It's not my cup of tea but Google will give you lots of reviews and you can decide if that's the sort of site you would like.

Any of the sites are Vias are very near to Beziers airport - and there are plenty with slides/pool complex etc. Check them out on the campsite search (button above, type in Vias).

Les Sablons at Portiragnes Plage is another site which I've seen recommended on here for family holidays.

Agde is another destination within easy reach of Beziers airpoort, with lots of familly-type campsites.

Over the years we've stayed at several in those areas, but it's also some years since our children came with us, so I don't want to actually recommend anywhere.

Val A beat me to it....... I was about to recommend Vias Plage which has loads of sites to choose from and a good beach and amusement park within easy walking distance.

I would recommend Les Sablons, I would also recommend rather than booking with Eurocamp, who quite frankly are a rip off that you look at Roan.nl who are a dutch company, and offer really good prices.
There are several sites around that area, worth a look.
Enjoy

You could find a site you like the look of then look at their booking page as most sites have their own mobile homes they let out. August is not going to be cheap anywhere in France but the last 2 weeks may be a bit cheaper. I think you may be looking at aroun 600-700 for a week. Another option for an airport is Montpellier and Ryanair fly there (when they get their act together) you could look at Marsellain Plage, Castellas beach. Plenty of big beachside sites with lots going on for kids.

Just across the road (almost!) from Beziers airport is Domaine de la Dragonniere https://www.dragonniere.com/EN/

It's not next to the beach, although not that far from it, but is the original all-singing, all-dancing site, with touring pitches, mobile homes, chalets, and entertainment from morning until night. It has swimming-pools (yes, plural) including indoor pool.

We've only stayed there out of season, but it seems to have lots of things going on in high season.
