GGG Campsites are a 'chain' of Dutch owned sites, mostly in very rural areas, where the owner lives on site, and they state they are Good, Green and Guest Friendly. During low season their prices seem very reasonable, and once you've stayed on one site then subsequent sites will charge you just 14 euros for pitch, two adults, car and caravan, and electricity (local taxes may be extra).

They look to be very nice sites, and many of them don't appear to come up on 'the radar' on here or other forums.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Yes, SGT. Unfortunately the days of £5 Camping Cheque campsites (or even free courtesy of benefactors!!) seems to be over - and these days 14 euros is touching the top of our budget!

Thanks Val. Just had a look at the one 40km south of Millau - looks lovely. btw we watched the programme you recommended on the bridge on catch up last night - put us in mind for another jaunt to the Tarn area at some point next year!

The sites seem intent on supporting the scheme.

For example Camping Ascou la Forge

ACSI (2298) indicates wi-fi should be paid for

GGG " Our facilities include a library, washing machine, dryer and free Wifi."

Both schemes cost €15 per night

Thanks Val. Useful info as always. I too have added to my favourites and cross linked it to my earlier request for suggestions in the South.

Don't forget though that you have to show their "folder" to get the rate, or at least that is what it says on their website in Dutch. However, in the English version it states that "Once you’ve stayed at one of the GGG campsites, spots are available from € 14.00 *) at the next site-member camps." This implies that you need to pay full rate at the first site in order to get your next site at the discounted price So it's cheaper to just download the folder off the website.

I looked at one of the sites in this group - their normal low season price including electricity and dog "kept on a string" is 15 euros. They have joined this new marketing scheme and are offering a price of 14 euros. Hardly Black Friday is it .

For cheapskates like myself SGT, the one euro difference is almost a litre of wine from the nearby cave!

I almost didn't read on with this post, as I took it to be about Dutch sites, but then realised they were Dutch owned sites in France. Just saying!!

As Berriow says, they aren't new, but with these 'marketing groups' it makes it easier to look at, and compare several sites on one website! There are a couple on there that I like the look of, and which I otherwise might not have noticed.
