Some of you may have noticed we've done a lot of work on the French sites section, splitting the country into areas, and added more campsites.
Before this, the whole of France was dumped into one area, which made things difficult to find a site, or choose an area. See above for the new French Campsite search
If you've been to a French campsite, or caravan site, we would really appreciate it if you could leave a review, so that we can grow this section, and make it more and more useful for other UKCS members.
Use the above links in the above post to start the search, or visit http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/ , find the site, then add your review / comments.
Hopefully you may find the site in the listings, but if you cant we'd be very grateful if you could add it ( http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/contact/addsite.asp ) , you will be able to submit a review shortly after you've added it
We will be adding more sites to the listings ourselves too
Hopefully this will prove really really useful, as there are always masses of posts on this section asking about French sites, so it will be fantastic to have more reviews in the listings
Many thanks for reading, and thank you very much indeed in advance if you are able to leave a review
Cheers
Ian

Ian,
Thanks for your update. As soon as I can find time, I have another 12 or so reviews I can submit.

The French sites section is a lot easier to use now. Thanks.

Well done Ian. That's made things so much easier. It can't have been easy but we appreciate the trouble.

We notice a lot of people comment on sites they have visited but have not left reviews. Also there are many members who have posted thousands of message board posts, but never left a site review.
The reviews section is the best part of this site, so if you get a moment everyone please contribute to it.
Whenever you return from a weekend away, take 5 minutes to write a quick review please! It doesnt have to be a Shakespearian masterpiece, just a brief summary of what the site is like and constructive comments where appropriate. Dont worry if there are already other reviews, the more the merrier!
Just search for the campsite using the campsite search ( button above ). The easiest way to find the site is to to type in the first few lettersof the name, or use the Map to narrow it down until you see it. Once you have found the site, click on the add review button, and leave your comments!.
Why not add it to your going away checklist, and make it a habit when you return !
Many thanks indeed, it's very much appreciated, and ensures everyone gets to benefit from the shared knowledge
Cheers
Ian

I've just looked for Ranc D'Avaine at St Alban Auriolles in the Ardeche, and Camping Neptune at Grau d'Agde, amongst others, thinking to leave a review, following your request for more reviews, but I don't want to just 'add' them to the database in case I'm not searching properly. However, what did strike me is that there aren't that many sites listed per area - there must be many hundreds of sites which are not listed. If you need a 'volunteer' to add sites that they've visited that aren't listed, then I'd be quite happy to do so for sites we've been to over the years - and keep requesting people to then add a recent review if they've visited sites,so that you get a reflection of opinions.

I'll do them in small doses if that's OK - will start with all the sites we've been to recently, and then trawl back through my memory to put the others on, checking details as I go. For the recent ones I'll do a review as well I'll check thoroughly with site websites before adding anything. I'm a bit of a 'nit-picker' having worked in the NHS for years, and have got used to doing things 'correctly'!

Well done for taking time to organise this. It's great.
I'm just starting to arrange next years hols. My husband is taking 1 month of work so we thought let's tow down to Languedoc and Roussillon region, so basically I'm on the scrounge for any help and info anyone can give me. We would like to be within walking distance ofa beach and facililites on site for kids plus a pool would be great. Obviously we would be stopping a couple of times on the way down, any ideas there?
Waiting in anticipation!!!
