We keep a journal since we started caravanning almost 3 years ago, so I thought I'd give you a summary (slow work day). The figures below include our only other trip of the year to be taken, in August to France.

Sites visited: 18
Miles towed: 7,030
Average cost: £27 pn.
Best site: La Garangeoire, Vendee (only one to get an 'excellent' rating in our journal)
Worst site: 6 got only a 'good' rating but no disasters yet.

Roll on another 3 years

Average miles to site assuming the 18 visited once - 195. Probably distorted somewhat by the French sortie.

Y`know, some threads just don`t attract responses . . . I found your logs interesting.  And you can compare year by year.  If you`re anything like us, the travel instances will not change, but - the distances will shorten!

Can`t be having long trips now . . . . . 3 hours drive at the most.  Quite happy wi that ha ha

But I would like to do France again.  In a static!

We did a lot of miles last year in Europe but only drove at the most for 3 hours. We were away for 7 weeks. We are retired so dont have to rush. It was a great holiday. If you have the time mileages really dont matter

We have always kept logs for each of our caravans. We have just recently part exchanged our 'van and I left a copy of "Phoebe's" log in the document folder (all our 'vans had/have names )

So, if the new owner is as daft or curious as us and wonders where their "new 'van" has been on it's travels, they will know !!!
