LOL Shelleybobs, i know what you mean....go us...go us heehee!! x
Am currently sat in our van, awning still up Thankfully we have had hardly any harsh wind come our way, although we did tie it down extremely well, inside and out. Will have to take the awning down though its just hubby is trying to get as long as he can with it up due to the stuff we have in it. Typical!!! In our defence though there are still a number of people with their awnings still up here on site

Well, we had a great first weekend...so much warmer than the folding camper!

However, within the first 5 minutes of being in it, I dropped the coffee canister on the small worktop between the side dinette and the seating area and took a good sized chunk out of the middle of it!!!!  I was NOT popular!  Mind you, if it had been my hubby that had done it, I'd have been digging a big hole to bury him in on the camp site!  Have e-mailed venture to see what we can do about it.

Does anyone with the same style van as ours have any trouble with the trim on the curved corners on the dividing walls at either side of the side dinette?  The trim was coming away from the concave bit when we went to pick it up and they stuck it back down, but it's coming away on both dividing walls now...bit of a design fault if you ask me...will have to try to stick it down with something.

All in all, very pleased with it.

Hi Veema, glad to hear you had a great first weekend in your new van. Yes do contact Venture about your worktop, they have always been excellent and helpful to us. Let us know how you get on.

We have the DK version and have had no trouble with our trims, so hopefully someone with a DT, which is the same as yours can pop in and maybe add their own thoughts to this.

Good to hear you have had fun in your new caravan vemma
We have the DT (Tamar Altea version) an have had no issues with the trims either. Perhaps you should ask Venture about this as well. Maybe just one of those little miss things when built at the factory. There's always no more nails if push comes to shove LOL LOL.

Have fun with your new van, we love ours to bits to!

We had no problems with ours and we had her for 3 years. I would speak to venture. It could be a faulty batch with it being both dividers.

With regards to the damaged worktop. How bad is the damage. You can get generic repair kits for the tops but it can be hit or miss with the result. I have even heard of people using similar colour nail polish. We used to fit our slim microwave on that shelf so we wouldn't have seen it anyway. Could you not cover it with a nice place mat? .

Just re read your original post and note the reference to a good sized chunk. Have you tried to stick it back?

Its all crushed in...about the size of a 5p, it's a dent with the top covering all cracked and stuffed in...my brother is a kitchen fitter, so sure he'll have something to bung it up with and I'll just cover it up.  Venture have said they'll sort the trim out when its next in, but that wont be until its 1st year service, so just to bung it up with silicone until then...it's like is pulled too tight across the curve and is going across it flat...really hard to describe!

at Appleby, lucky you I'm jealous, sat in your van haha! We are having a sneaky this weekend with friends of ours. It's their maiden voyage in their first new to them caravan. There is a bonfire in the village so looking forward to it

at Veema, on our second time out, I put a dent in the same piece of worktop I dropped the satellite receiver on it. Luckily it's not that bad though but I know exactly how you feel. I could have cried for hurting my baby

I'll have a look at the trim on ours, not noticed anything so far but I'll report back
